The South Florida Orchid Society cordially invites all Members and Visitors to attend the 2025/2026 Installation of officers and board members.

This program will be held on our regular Wednesday meeting night, June 18th, 2025.

At this time incoming Officers and Board Members for the 2025/2026 term will be officially sworn in.

Awards will also be presented by the SFOS Judging Chair to Members in several categories for plants those members submitted for judging during the 2024/2025 Judging Year.

Special certificates of Recognition will also be awarded to a number of SFOS members for their tireless commitment to the Society and in recognition of their invaluable Volunteer Service during the past year.

We look forward to seeing everyone at this special event recognizing our Award Winners and to join us in thanking our Volunteers for their service to the South Florid Orchid Society.

There will be NO SFOS Certified Judging this evening.

However, members are encouraged to bring their blooming plants to the meeting for everyone to admire and enjoy.

SFOS December 15th Holiday Party!

Due to the permanent closure of the former Shorty’s Restaurant located on NW 87th Ave in Doral, we have moved our event.

The new location for the SFOS Holiday Party on December 15th, 2021 will be at the Shorty’s Restaurant located near Dadeland Shopping Mall & the Dadeland South Metrorail Station.

We will be gathering from 7 to 9 pm.

Parking is free.

Cost for Members & Guests is $30.00 per person, & all SFOS Members attending will receive a gift Orchid plant from the Society. There will also be a Complimentary Raffle Ticket for the chance to win a blooming Orchid Plant given to everyone attending our Holiday Party.

We are asking that everyone who plans on joining us to celebrate the end of another year & enjoy a delicious Bar-B-Q dinner, to please make their Reservation in advance so that we will know how many Orchid plants to bring.

SFOS Annual Holiday Party

Due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) the December 16th Annual Holiday Party has been postponed.

It’s with great sadness that, due to the continued persistence of the COVID-19 Corona Virus, the board of the South Florida Orchid Society has voted to postpone our annual Holiday Party this year. We hope to be able to reschedule the party for the near future when we can safely gather together once again.

For those who are concerned about receiving their free Holiday plant, rest assured that everyone will receive their plant either at our rescheduled Holiday Party or by some other arrangement.
